Their latest creation is a series of fairmaster bongs designed for dabbing and standard smoking. The Fairmasters use a larger bowl than traditional bongs and feature an innovative design that keeps your mouth out of harm’s way while easily holding onto smoke.

They’re perfect for those who do their best work behind the scenes but want something they can take into bars and clubs without being hassled by bouncers.

What Is It?

It’s a fairly simple piece of glassware made by RooR, created as a smaller version of their standard Fairchild bongs. These unique bongs were designed for people looking for a more discreet way to enjoy concentrates like waxes, shatter, budder, etc.

However, RooR has expanded its line to include these larger, more powerful models that allow users to switch between smoking and dosing on the fly.

Anyone who wants to get away from all the hassle typically surrounds using a water pipe at a bar. Dopers need something small enough to hide in a pocket but are still able to hold enough material to produce massive hits. Also great for smokers looking for something large enough to fit into backpacks or carry cases, so they don’t have to worry about losing them when they leave the house.

Design

These things are beautiful. I mean, really beautiful. The black metal base features a gorgeous brushed finish that makes it feel luxurious even though it looks relatively normal. The top half of the unit is transparent acrylic, allowing you to view your chosen weed product clearly while maintaining total privacy.

This means no hiding anything under the table, getting caught off guard by someone snooping on you, or worrying about what kind of weirdo you’ve hooked up with this week.

Underneath is a slight lip around the edge of the bowl, which helps keep your mouth out of harm’s way, especially if you’re hitting off the thing. A small hole near the bottom of the bowl allows air to pass through, ensuring that you won’t choke yourself by accident.

There aren’t any handles because RooR says that’s not how concentrate works, and the whole thing is shaped such that it rests comfortably against your face while allowing airflow.

The only real design flaw on these things is that the stem is too short to reach down far enough to grab a good draw from the bowl itself. Instead, it would be best if you found someplace lower on the body where there’s room to rest the end of it, which isn’t exactly easy to do. Still, you should be able to get away with it after a little practice.

Using It

I assume everyone reading this article knows how to handle a joint properly because we’re dealing with extremely potent stuff here. If you haven’t yet tried a concentrated high, please skip to the next section.

Otherwise, let me show you how to start a dab rig. First, you need a nail called a torch. You can buy them online for cheap or ask anyone at a headshop for one. Once you’ve got one, you’ll need a lighter. I prefer lighters designed specifically for tobacco because they tend to burn cleaner and give off less ash.

Once you’ve got everything set up, light up your torch and place the tip of the lighter right above the flame. Hold the lighter steady, so the flame doesn’t move, and slowly pull the trigger until it ignites. Then carefully touch the flame to the center of the nail and watch it ignite. Do the same thing on the opposite side and continue alternating until the flame stabilizes.

Now, put your mouth over the opening on the side that matches the thumbwheel on your lighter. Slowly inhale through your nose until your lungs fill with vapor, then exhale through your mouth. Don’t breathe normally once you’ve started this process, and don’t try to rush it.

Concentration is key here.
After a few seconds, remove your mouth and pinch the stem gently with your fingers. If it feels dry, it may be time to refill your rig. Simply add another dabbing tool to the mix and repeat the entire process. Most importantly, stay safe! Keep an eye on your lighter, and never leave it unattended.

The Best Part

They’re compact and lightweight, making them portable enough to pack anywhere. They come with a carrying case so you can easily transport them wherever you go. Plus, they’re affordable, considering how much weed you can cram into each one. These things are a steal if you’re in college or living somewhere with roommates.

Tragic Flaw

As mentioned earlier, the stems are a bit short to grasp onto the bowl itself. So, you’re either stuck doing your own thing and trying to balance it awkwardly on your hand or taking a chance that it might fall off mid-hit. Not ideal.

Overall, I love these things. They’re a fantastic alternative to regular pipes for both dabbers and smokers. But for $125 a pop, they might seem a bit pricey compared to typical bongs.

That said, they’re worth it for the convenience factor alone. Remember always to use caution and common sense when handling concentrated forms of marijuana.
