Imagine the best party in the world; what would it look like? I guess it’s safe to say that everybody has a slightly different picture of that one. Michael Jackson said once that there’s no fun without a roundabout and ZOO around, but I don’t think many over the age of five would follow his statement.
For some best party in the world would rather include a quiet place and close friends; for others, the biggest concert of a favorite band or beating up a clown. As you’ve come to this site, I’m pretty sure I can see where the best-party-according-to-you would be heading. To make a long story short – bongs are included.
According to stoners, the best party in the world must have the best “loot” and amazing smoke devices. I know some that would fit such an event. I might say they would fit there pretty well, but to be honest, I should say they would be the heart of the party, pumping smoke as only Pure Glass Bongs can.
If you want something essentially special that will “shine,” you take Pure Glass Bongs, and there’s no question asked; it’s that simple. Yes, they cost a bit, but it’s money spent on pure quality. Often include extras such as tree percolators (5mm thick glass, Pure Glass Bongs can have even three percolators) and ice notches that will give you amazing experiences.
Ashcatcher makes the bong easy to clean up, and the size is just fine for being efficient and eye-catching – from 52cm to 60cm high. So party hard with Pure Glass Bongs; let them be a party star.
When you think about smoking glass, the first thing that comes to mind is probably a bong made out of bamboo. However, the problem with this design is that it’s not practical for everyday use.
The bowl isn’t large enough, and the weight can be cumbersome. But what if we told you there was another way? What if I showed you how to make your PURE glass bong using items found around your house?
So you want to try glass smoking but don’t know where to start? First off, let me tell you why you should even consider doing so in the first place. When most people smoke marijuana or tobacco, they typically do so by hand.
That means using one of those long-stemmed pipes with a bowl on top. Like most smokers, you’ll often struggle to keep the stem upright as you inhale through the pipe while keeping your eyes open.
This method also doesn’t allow for much control over the amount of material you put into your lungs because of the small size of the bowl. It may seem counterintuitive initially, but pure glass offers an alternative solution when smoked properly.
Unlike traditional smoking methods, which are designed to maximize efficiency, glass allows users more freedom to regulate the flow of vaporized materials without having to worry about burning themselves. While these benefits aren’t necessarily new — Native American and Chinese cultures have used the same technique for thousands of years — their introduction into mainstream culture has been relatively recent. So before you run away from the idea, please closely examine what makes them unique.
Another benefit of glass smoking is that it provides users with many options regarding the style of bowls available. Some are shaped like simple cylinders, others resemble flower petals, and others feature intricate designs.
However, these bowls share a common trait: They’re usually too big for any practical application other than decoration (although some certainly serve a functional purpose). In addition, since glass can only hold so much water per unit of time, it limits each session to no more than two pieces.
Finally, the weight of such a piece can become quite burdensome after several uses. This leads us to our next point: A PURE glass smoking bowl solves all these problems.

Pure Glass Smoking Bowl
A PURE glass smoking bowl consists of three parts: two thin sheets of clear plastic fused at the edges. These layers form a chamber within the “head” portion of the bong. Once the head rests inside the mouthpiece, the bottom sheet acts as a filter, while the top layer serves as the main chamber.
Most commonly, the latter contains a single hole approximately 1/4 inch across. After placing the head atop the mouthpiece, the entire assembly looks like a drinking straw. Users then fill the head with filtered air and attach a hose to the end of the mouthpiece leading to either a metal tube or a hookah.
As the air passes through the piece, it flows through the narrow space between the filters and eventually exits out of the opening.
The name “PURE” refers to the fact that the finished product does not contain additives. Unlike regular cigarettes, which require certain chemicals to produce the necessary reactions, glass smoking relies solely upon chemical changes brought about by heat and steam.
Although the process may sound complicated, the setup is fairly easy once you understand how the system works. Next, let’s explore what supplies you need to get started.
It’s important to note that although almost every smoker will refer to anything short of a full ounce of dry herb as “dime bags,” this term originated during Prohibition when dime-sized quantities of alcohol were called “pinch bottles.” Nowadays, however, it seems that everything smaller than a gallon jug gets referred to as a baggie.
Materials Needed for Pure Glass Smoking Bowl
To construct a working PURE glass smoking bowl, you’ll need a few basic tools, including scissors, glue, a knife, pliers, wire cutters, a tape measurer, a drill, an electric hot plate, and oven mitts. You might also want cutting mats, measuring cups, and various utensils.
While the exact components required vary depending on what type of glass you choose, here is a list of the essential elements:
Two separate sheets of tempered Pyrex brand glass. The tempered glass retains its strength even when broken. Additionally, it ensures that the resulting shards won’t shatter into dangerous projectiles.
Temperingscale varies among different types of glass. Generally speaking, the lower the number, the stronger the glass.
- Thicker bottoms provide greater stability.
- Smaller holes minimize clogging due to buildup.
- Wire mesh screens. It is used to prevent debris from blocking the openings.
Once you’ve gathered your supplies, read on to discover how to transform them into a functioning smoking device.
Let’s say you already had the perfect glass smoking setup. And let’s further assume that you’d decided to ditch the filter component entirely. Would you still want to return to handling your weed with a cigarette lighter?
Surprisingly, yes. Not only would you save money, but you could also build a custom lighter specifically for this task. Since glass burns hotter than wood, it requires less fuel to achieve ignition. Furthermore, the flame produced burns longer and produces less ash. Another advantage is that you can adjust the intensity of the fire by blowing directly onto the tip. This saves the trouble of constantly fanning the flames.
Gathering Supplies
- Begin by gathering the following supplies :
- One pair of oven mittens
- 1 square foot of double-sided adhesive paper
- Plastic wrap
- Scissors
- Tape Measure
- Drill
- Hot Plate
- Cooking Oil
Step One: Using the measurements provided below, create five circles in the center area of the adhesive paper. Each circle should be equal in diameter. Cut out four of these circles, leaving room for a circular frame. Set aside the remaining strip.
Step Two: Fold down one side of the leftmost circular piece to create a flap, leaving a 2-3 centimeter gap along the fold line. Repeat this step with the right circular frame, except instead of folding down the opposite side, tuck the flap underneath the folded edge of the previous flap.
Tape the frames together along the flaps to ensure proper alignment. Be careful not to pinch the folds. Also, remember to remove the protective covering immediately before setting the assembled frame face down on a flat surface.
Place a round cookie cutter over the middle section of the frame and carefully press down until it forms the desired shape. Remove the cookie cutter and repeat steps 4a and 4b above with the right circular frame, except this time, unfold the sides rather than crease them down.

Assemble Three Parts
Step 3: Take the third circular frame and lay it horizontally over the second frame. Align the corners of the bottom frame with the centers of the corresponding corners of the upper frame. Securely screw the two frames together using screws. Slide the whole arrangement under the plastic wrap and secure the cover against the constructed frame’s underside.
Step 4: Prepare cooking oil and pour it into a pan large enough to accommodate the assembled frame. Heat oil to 375 degrees Fahrenheit (about 180 Celsius) using the electric hotplate. Don’t add additional oil to the pan since heating it again will cause it to break apart.
Allow the oil to reach temperature gradually over several minutes. Carefully slide the heated pan beneath the assembled glass frame. Slowly increase the heat to 500 degrees Fahrenheit (260 Celsius), taking care not to burn the oil. Hold the glass firmly on the frame’s outer rim with tongs or hands.
Wait until you hear bubbling noises coming from the base of the pan. Reduce the heat to 300 degrees Fahrenheit (150 Celcius) and hold the glass for 5 minutes. Remove the pan from the heat source and cool the mixture for 15 seconds.
Quickly turn the entire mass upside down and tap gently on the table. Let sit overnight. Repeat the procedure twice more to fully cure the final coating.
Step 5: Gently scrape excess oil residue off the glass and rinse thoroughly under cold running water. Pat dry completely. Store in a clean jar overnight to avoid contaminating the environment. Use in conjunction with a ceramic stovetop dish.
Now that you’ve covered the basics let’s move on to the fun part – smoking.
To maintain optimum performance, it’s recommended that you treat your newly created glasses with mineral spirits or turpentine to protect them from moisture damage. Also, store your creations in the original packaging to help preserve their integrity.
Cleaning the glass is very straightforward. Wipe it clean with a soft cloth dampened slightly with rubbing alcohol. Never use acetone, ammonia, solvents, or abrasive cleaners.
Smoking With Your Pure Glass Smoking Bowl
There are numerous ways to enjoy cannabis products via glass smoking techniques. Probably the easiest way is to prepare loose bud and place it inside the head of a preheated bong. Then light the bud with matches or lighters.
